Bal Enchanté - Fête de la Bastille |
 |
| Bastille day is France's most important public holiday. It is France's National Day - celebrating the freeing of prisoners from the hated Bastille prison in Paris, at the start of the French Revolution in 1789. Today it is remembered across France with joyous 'public balls' for all ages, where entertainment, eating and dancing bring the community together. Come to Platt Fields Park on the 14th July 2007 and enjoy this celebration of all things French with live music, outdoor ballroom, cabaret, street theatre, food, activities and of course the guillotine! |
